RADIO ADVERTISING
This section will give you more information about running your own
Radio ads across the nation.
Radio commercials are the least expensive way to get your message out
to buyers.You can trade your
gold memberships for airtime or you can even negotiate a per sale
agreement with the media companies.
You will generate a tremendous amount of sales via the radio, but
reputition is the key. Below you will find a list of topics
that are covered in this section, Please click on the link that you
wish tolearn more about.
Why run Radio Commercials?
Radio
is an intrusive medium which echoes inthe mind of the listener. It must
be used that way. As an advertiser you need to"climb into the listeners
mind"..... and stay there ! You need to be willing to make a commitment
to using radio advertising properly. You may have heard someone say...
"I tried radio once.... but it didn't work."More often than not, they
were never committed to making it work. Quite frankly,to think in terms
of anything less than 13 weeks of advertising in most cases.Lack of
commitment is one of the greatest killers of all advertising
attempts.Radio advertising also requires an investment. You need to
invest in generatinga return. Like any good conservative investment,
radio advertising pays off big when you are willing to invest and
commit, then watch the dividends steadily grow. Finally radio
advertising thrives on consistency. Too many advertisers panic when in
the first three or four days the phone isn't ringing off the hook.
Don't
panic ! Well tell you up front that it's going to take nearly13 weeks
for you to realize the full extent of the investment that you aremaking
How to approach radio broadcasters?
Radio stations are just like any other mediastation. There is roughly 30 BILLION dollars of unsold advertising in ourcountry every year. If the radio stations do not sell that ad space today, they can not sell it tomorrow and make up the money. It is lost money. Most radiostations are owned by moms and pops and need to apply money to their bottom lineas well. This allows you to take two approaches to radio stations.
1. 0 cost join venture basis (Refer back tothe dist section that discusses 0 cost join venture basis.
2.
Media trade, Hotels Etc. is so powerful that you can take the power of
our product and leverage it towards trades. Media companies are
constantly giving away items on air, they need these items andwould
much rather trade there unsold advertising, then to straight out buy
theproduct.
How to negotiate with Radio stations?
Individuals that work at radio stations have an open mind andare very pleasant to deal with. Typically you approach them and introduce themto your proposition. They will then accept or call up to discuss the opportunityfurther. If you are paying for advertising, then you might want to do research on the average rate for that particular area. If you plan on doing a trade, thenyou might want to consider trading 100 membership cards for $8,990 worth of advertising. This will effect allow you to reach your 13 week advertising goaland will help you start generating money. If you plan on doing the 0 cost join venture basis, then we would recommend paying around $20-$40 per sale. Keep inmind, the more the media companies are making the more they run your ad. Be fairand pay your dues. This money is considered free money, since you really do nothave an expense associated with it, other than a wholesale order of membership cards.
How do I answer the calls that come in?
There
are several inbound call centers aroundthe country that will take your
calls for you. The charge reasonable rates andthis approach is widely
used by Hotels Etc. IBO's if they have a full time career. Do you work
out of your home? If you are available to answer the phone, then we
would recommend answering the radio ads in house. You will not
get slammed from radio advertising. The calls are sporadic and will not
require youto hire a full time staff for this type of marketing. If you
do plan on doing multiple radio stations, then keep in mind the calls
will come in more frequent,so at that time you might want to consider
hiring an about department.
How do I get on air promotions?
Radio
stations are constantly giving away free products on theair. These free
products are typically giving to the radio station, in exchangeto have
the companies name mentioned on the air. This allows you to get
freeadvertising, but most importantly, the radio broadcaster promotes
on air giveaways all day and week long. You might have heard some on
air
giveaways say, " Be the 10th caller and receive a Free Hotels
Etc. lifetime membership card"
This
stradagy works very well, however you want to limit the number of
cardsthat are given away on-air per month. If you give to many away,
then you will loose sells. We recommend giving 4 on-air giveaways per
month at the max.
How much does it cost to run radiocommercials?
Radio
commercials vary based on territory, area, listeners, and ranking. It is
best to contact the media companies oradvertising companies to get
up-to-date prices. The average price for radio isaround $20 +/- per 60
sec spot.
Can I use the scripts that Hotels Etc.uses?
Yes, Hotels Etc. offers you a word script, which you can edit right from your computer. Once you edit the script, werecommend sending the word script to the radio station, and asking their localtalent to do the recording. Taking this approach creates more credibility in the local communityCan I listen to some sample radio Commercials?
