Wingate by Wyndham (which used to be known
as Wingate Inn) is a group of independently owned and run hotels that has
business travellers as its primary targets. The first hotel was in July 1996.
Since 1996, over 100 new Wingate by Wyndham Hotels have been opened across the
world. The chain’s major competitors are Courtyard by Marriott, Hilton Garden
Inn, and Hyatt Place. Wingate by Wyndham is a part of Wyndham Worldwide, which
itself was formerly part of Cendant. As of late 2007, Wingate Inn changed its
name officially to Wingate by Wyndham.
The usual Wingate by Wyndham property
offers a free hot breakfast, free high-speed Internet access, upscale bedding,
and workrooms. Most properties have a 24-hour snack bar or mini-mart, but
unlike its previously mentioned competitors, it usually does not have
full-service restaurants. While Wingate hotels and properties tend to be on the
affordable side, there are still discounts that one can take advantage of to
reduce charges even more.

lowest available rate!
By booking a stay for at least 2
consecutive nights, you receive a whooping 15% discount off the best available
rate at some Wingate hotels. Or, by booking 3 nights in a row, you can get 20%
discount off the entire bill so when you sty more, you pay less.
The government discount program at
participating Wingate by Wyndham hotels offers rates within the allowable per
diem, including all appropriate taxes to government employees. This is only
available in participating hotels in Canada and the United states, however,
black out dates are not included and this offer is based on availability in
individual hotels.
If you are a member of certain
organizations, like the AAA or CAA or AARP you get a huge discount on your stay
at most Wingate by Wyndham hotels. AAA and CAA members can get discounts of 10%
while AARP members can get discounts of 20%. Of course, you will be required to
display proof of membership at check in but this is a great deal.
Seniors who are aged 60 and above can also
enjoy huge discounts at Wingate Hotels as well as other Wyndham properties.
With a valid proof of identification, seniors enjoy a 10% discount of the best
available rate at the Wingate Hotel. Best Available Rate means the best,
non-qualified, publicly available rate on the Internet for the hotel, date and
