- I am very interested in purchasing a membership withing the next week. I would just like to know if it possible to book hotels rooms, flights and other reservations for family and friends. I read that you must have the card with you if you book a hotel room, so how would it work if i did reserve something for someone else other than me? Thank you.

- According to the key card I recieved on my last stay at Super 8, I can pay $3.95 per month. Is this so? I don't see any offer on this website other than a one time payment of 89.95.

- i am attending conf. feb 23, 24 in chicago and i would like to sell some hotel etc. memberships. all i have are the vol. 10 booklets which are a little outdated. what would you suggest?
1: How many months does one membership last?
A. Your Hotels Etc membership is valid for life and you will never have to pay renewal fees or annual dues ever. Your Hotels Etc. lifetime Gold card is valid 365 days a year.

2: How much does the membership cost?
A. Hotels Etc. lifetime gold membership is a one time payment of just $89.95 + $4.95 S&H. You will receive a Hotels Etc lifetime membership card with your own member ID#. Your member ID# is used to log into the member only section at Hotelsetc.com

3: Can I choose where to purchase my Hotels Etc. membership?
A. We ask you to purchase from the phone number or website that you seen advertised. Hotels Etc. has offices all around the world and we want to be sure that those particular offices receive the order. If you seen a TV commercial or our Infomercial then you can order directly from Hotelsetc.com

4: How many rooms is one card valid for? Can I book for my colleague too?
A. One card is required per room. This means that you cannot book one room for you and one for your colleague, the second person needs a card of his own. Seeing that it only takes 2 or 3 nights at a hotel to cover the cost of the membership card - it is really worth recommending Hotels Etc. to all your colleagues.

5: How can I make my reservation?
A. A reservation request must be placed directly with the hotel you wish to stay at. When you access the member's only section at Hotelsetc.com you will be entering our database. Locate the 50% off directory inside the member's only section. Locate the state in which you want to visit. Locate the Hotel in which you want to stay at. When you located hotel you will notice that they provide their reservation number. Call the Hotel directly and mention you are a Hotels Etc member.

6: Can I call any Hotels Etc. office to make a reservation?
A. No, you need to contact the hotel direct. Hotels Etc does not reserve or cancel reservations. You must deal with the hotel direct.

7: Am I guaranteed a 50% discount on all my reservations?
A. No, not guaranteed. The discount is always given subject to expected availability and if a hotel expects to be fully booked for the night in question, they can say no to the discount. It is always up to the hotel to decide whether or not to accept it. However, hotels welcome our members with open arms. If you have a issue with a hotel then you must fill out our Hotel Complaint Form and our research staff will investigate it. If we find out that a hotel pushed a member away then we will delete them from our database.

8: Why would I become a member if I am not guaranteed the discount?
A. Statistics from Hotels Etc., reservation service show that between 80 and 85% of all reservations are accepted at the Hotels Etc. rates. Getting 50% discount in 8 out of 10 attempts is very good, and a lot of money saved! Car Rentals, restaurants, golf, Cruises, choice, Wyndham Hotels offer our members discounts 365 days a year.

9: Is the cardholder the only person who can use the card?
A. Yes, You must have the membership card in possession at the time of check in. Hotels are required to view your membership card. Most companies will make a photo copy of your membership card when checking in.

10: Can I bring my family and get the Hotels Etc. rate?
A. Most hotels are flexible with regard to accommodating you and your family at the discounted price even if you should need two rooms. When making your reservations mention to them that you have more than 1 person in your family.

11: If I purchase the card through the company, can I then use it for private travels?
A. Yes, of course! There are no limitations as to how often you can use the card or to the purpose of the travel. Regardless if you travel everyday or one time every 10 years you will still receive the same benefit from your Hotels Etc membership card.

12: Is the 50% discount applicable at weekend rates too?
A. Hotels base their rates off Rack rates. The rack rate at a hotel is different on the weekends versus the weekdays. 90% of our hotels honor the Hotels Etc discount on the weekend as is during the week.

13: If my company is interested in several cards for its traveling staff, are there any discounts applicable?
A. Yes, We do offer programs for HR departments that wish to offer discounts to their employees. We also offer group purchases. If you are interested in a group purchase then please email info@hotelsetc.com

14: Are membership cards renewed automatically or where do I do so?
A. There are no renewal fees or annual dues with Hotels Etc. The only time in which you will be responsible to pay more money is if you loose your Hotels Etc. membership card. If you lost your card and you need assistance then please email info@hotelsetc.com. Please be sure to include your member ID number. If you are unable to locate your member ID# then you must purchase another Hotels Etc. membership card.

15: Why would any hotel offer 50% off their rates?
A. Very few hotels have 100% occupancy. Instead of leaving the rooms empty, they are selling them to Hotels Etc. members at half price…after all it is better to make 50% than loose 100%. Hotels are the most perishable industry in the world. If they do not rent that room tonight they cannot make up for it tomorrow. It is lost money. When they rent a room to Hotels Etc. members they simply have found money. Not only are the hotels making money on this, but also our members are saving 50% at the same time. That is why Hotels Etc. has experienced such major growth with new members and different industries around the globe.

A. Yes, you can purchase for everyone, However you must show your card when you check in. If you are trying to book for someone and they do not have there Hotels Etc. membership card at check in or out, Then they will not receive the discounts.

A. We suggest that you update your kit.. Hotels Etc. is not offering printed directories. Hotels Etc. members can sign in as a member and choose to print the directory.
